First call from the IDAE for aid to promote the circular economy of capital goods for renewable energy (1st Call - RENOCICLA Program) within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan

Purpose

Promote investments in recycling, reuse, preparation for reuse, and/or second-life facilities, and innovation in the eco-design of capital goods for renewable energy, within the framework of investment 5 of component 12 (C12.I5) "Aid scheme to support key sectors of the circular economy" of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union – NextGeneration EU.

The types of eligible actions are classified into the following programs and subprograms:

a) Program 1: Recycling and/or second-life facilities for capital goods for renewable energy that demonstrate the use of the best available technologies with the lowest environmental impact in the sector.

– Subprogram 1.1: Recycling and/or second-life facilities for photovoltaic solar panels. The facility must recover more than 85% by weight and prepare for reuse and recycle more than 80% by weight, in both activities, where applicable.

– Subprogram 1.2: Wind turbine blade recycling and/or second-life facilities. The recycling facility, where applicable, must recover at least 65% by weight of the blades and/or other composite materials from wind turbines and transform them into secondary raw materials.

– Subprogram 1.3: Battery recycling and/or second-life facilities. The recycling facility, where applicable, must recycle more than 65% by weight of batteries and accumulators.

b) Program 2: Innovation projects in the eco-design of capital goods for renewable energy.
